Our competitive pricing is achieved by utilizing large spare capacity within our foundry partners, where many CNC machines are idle when not processing castings. As a turnkey solution, we also offer a tooling and die casting services following the prototyping process.

CNC machining design general consideration

  • For general purpose prototyping, Aluminium 6061-T6 is the most commonly used and recommended for very fast lead time and lowest cost.
  • Our design engineers can give prompt advice on material choice depending on your application
  • Most undercut features are possible through EDM process or using CNC with custom cutting tool. Surface created via EDM is not as smooth as machining and manual polishing would be used. If a clean surface finish is required, custom tools will need to be made, result in longer lead time. We can omit undercut features if the prototype does not require those to function to meet tight deadline.
  • If there is any cosmetic surface or functional surface (for gasket, etc.), make sure it’s clearly indicated in the 2D drawing so our QA can pay further attention
